About the Role
Paschal is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our Accounting team during a busy operational period. This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial administration, reporting support, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to gain real-world accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers flexible scheduling and is expected to run from now through the beginning of October.
What You'll Do
Accounting Operations Support
  • Print and distribute company checks.
  • Assist with daily bank deposits and deposit-related documentation.
  • Research and resolve outstanding or missing check submissions from field offices.
  • Review and monitor aging payments, partnering with Accounts Receivable to resolve outstanding items.
  • Update and maintain deposit tracking spreadsheets and distribute reports to managers.
Month-End Close & Financial Administration
  • Pull bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations during month-end close activities.
  • Prepare monthly close reporting files by copying and resetting reports for upcoming close periods.
  • Coordinate with AR Manager to ensure that large accounting batches are processed timely.
  • Assist with recurring accounting tasks and reporting activities.
Administrative & Process Support
  • Verify that necessary employee expense coding updates are made and follow up as needed.
  • Route and delegate accounting-related requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Ensure recurring monthly task reminders are communicated to timely.
  • Organize, file, and securely shred outdated financial documents and checks.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounting team as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
