About the team:
Paschal is building a world-class Finance and Accounting Team. The team works across teams to distill the scale and complexity of Paschal’s operations into clear and insightful financial reporting. Quick and accurate close and reporting processes are foundational to our understanding of business performance. You will play an integral role in shaping the evolution of our close processes and systems in accounting areas such as operating expenses, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, leases, debt, investments, and close management. You will also advise on the accounting implications of new initiatives and transactions.

Specific Functions:
Perform and drive monthly / quarterly close activities, including manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and external audit support.
Identify potential inefficiencies in existing processes and propose improvements.
Participate in building scalable accounting processes to support growth.
Execute efficient internal control documentation and sign-off procedures.
Enhance and maintain existing accounting policy and procedural documentation.
Drive end to end improvement of input processes to enable scale and productivity.
Develop, manage, and improve process metrics utilizing automation, lean practices and process optimization to scale.
Work cross-functionally with other teams to find accounting solutions to business problems
Create a culture consistent and an inspiring work environment that brings the best out of people at work.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Understand and leverage technology to enable scaling opportunities and efficiencies
Competences:
Strong fluency in U.S. GAAP, preferably via a background in audit with the Big 4 or similar firms.
Demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams and growing team members.
Business mindset that sees Accounting as a way to drive business optimization and results.
Experience with internal controls (design, implementation, and execution).
Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results.
Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices.
Ability to understand, evaluate, and develop end to end processes.
Experience with Intacct a plus
Knowledge of (or experience in) the HVAC or home services industry a plus.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a positive and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment with moderate noise.
Essential Functions:
Physical ability to sit for long periods of time, walk, stand, squat, twist, climb stairs, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer/telephone/keyboard, and be able to lift 25 lb. file boxes. Vision ability required by this job includes close vision due to computer work. Mental alertness, stamina and ability to focus on, retain and communicate numerous, detailed inputs, process high volumes of written work, data capture and reporting, factual analysis, summary presentation and making numerous on-the-fly critical judgements in a fast-paced environment with deadlines. The employee must be sober and alert and may not be on the job and be mentally or physically impaired, due to drug or alcohol used of any kind.
Other Matters:
No travel is expected for this position.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours.

Required Experience/Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong management and knowledge of accounting software
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
