What you’ll be doing:
The Multi-Site Warehouse Operations Manager is the driving force behind the strategic leadership of our company’s warehouse operations. With a focus on high-level planning and optimization, this role ensures our inventory strategies are not only efficient but aligned with our company’s growth goals. While day-to-day activities are handled by a dedicated team, the Multi-Site Warehouse Operations Manager leads the charge in implementing best practices, streamlining processes, and championing continuous improvement to elevate operational excellence and maximize results.
· Establishes effective controls to achieve goals, standards, budgets and key performance indicators to support the organizational strategy across 8 company locations.
· Delivers on performance and financial targets.
· Monitors performance dashboards and conducts ad-hoc analyzes to evaluate the performance of the warehouse; provides feedback to management.
· Allocates resources and ensures appropriate staffing and workload levels to meet business demands.
· Develops fulfillment, transportation, and storage standards to ensure an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
· Reviews analyzes and provides process improvement feedback to management.
· Recommends and delivers training to employees on continuous improvement and performance enhancement activities.
· Drives continuous improvement and performance enhancement activities and oversees implementation of Lean strategies and processes.
· Collaborates with Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to ensure optimization of capacity and delivery management.
· All other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate Must Possess the Following Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field; or a combination of experience and education.
· 5+ years’ experience in inventory control and/or materials management, or relevant experience.
· Management and/or supervisory experience.
· Experience in Lean Six Sigma management principles preferred.
· Experience overseeing multi-locations a plus.
· Experience with greenfielding a new location through M&A is a plus.
· Possession of a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
· Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives while considering operational efficiency.
· Proficient in analyzing performance data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
· Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams, ensuring effective execution of inventory and warehouse operations.
· Aptitude for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance processes and operational performance.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Skillful in allocating resources effectively, ensuring optimal staffing and workload management to meet operational demands.
· Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean methodologies and process optimization.
· Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments, such as Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting, to achieve shared goals.
· Expertise in developing and delivering training programs that enhance employee skills and promote a culture of performance excellence.
· Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles to drive cost-effective operations.
